What started as a fun brainstorming session with a legend has turned into one of the great success stories in the mixed martial arts industry.
The seeds of Round 5 were planted in 2007 when brothers Barron and Damon Lau were talking with Randy Couture about potential MMA-related products such as oversize cauliflower ears. The conversation led to discussion of collectible figurines; a few months later, Round 5 had signed up Couture and several other top names in the sport for its first Series.
A licensing agreement with the UFC now gives Round 5 access to more fighters and more retail outlets than ever, ensuring that MMA fans and collectors will continue to turn to Round 5 for intricately detailed figures and unique limited editions of their favorite stars.
In addition to the athletes’ likenesses being exclusive to Round 5, the design combines a realistic portrayal of the fighter and an exaggeration of features for a detailed figurine intended for collectors and true fans.
Headquartered in Markham, Ontario, Canada, Round 5 strives to remain true to the sport of MMA and its personalities.
